Illinois Wentworth

Rare Illinois "J.G. Wentworth" men's Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1933.

The "Wentworth" was introduced in 1933 and discontinued that very same year... one of the very last Illinois men's wristwatch models and well into Hamilton's ownership of the Illinois company. It is a rare model and this is only the second example I have offered in 25 years. It was priced at $50.00 in 1933. This example is in excellent condition with only a few specks of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent, with a monogram and a few tiny dings. Case measures 36mm long and 24mm wide. Original sparkle finish dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Illinois grade 207 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $800. SOLD
