Gruen Thunderbird Quadron
Scarce Gruen "Thunderbird Quadron" men's Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1929.
Gruen catalogued this watch as the "Quadron 21" but Gruen collectors often refer to it as the "Thunderbird Quadron" because of the Art Deco stylized black enamel Thunderbird designs on the bezel. It is a scarce model and this is one of only three I have ever offered. It is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 38mm long and 22mm wide. Refinished dial is excellent. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Gruen grade 117 Quadron manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
