Hamilton Ventura 14K

Scarce Hamilton “Ventura” men’s Space Age design electric wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold, circa 1957.

The "Ventura" was the flagship of Hamilton's Electric watch line and was introduced in January of 1957, priced at $200.00. The "Ventura" was prominently worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley and Rod Serling. It has a massive solid gold, triangular case with stepped fins. This is an early example with a grade 500 movement and serial-numbered movement.  This example is in excellent condition showing only very light wear, with the stepped fins still well-defined. Caseback is excellent, with a few light dents. Case measures 50mm long and 32mm wide. Original black nickel gilt dial is excellent. Glass crystal is excellent. The watch is powered by its correct Hamilton grade 500 Electric movement, serviced a few years ago and running strong with a fresh battery just installed.

Price $2,750. SOLD
