Lord Elgin Model 4502 14K

Rare Lord Elgin “Model 4502” men’s Retro Modern design wristwatch in solid 14K rose gold, circa 1942.

This was Elgin‘s first asymmetric case design, resembling a scroll being unrolled from bottom to top. The “Model 4502” was priced to consumers at $150.00 in 1942. It is quite rare in rose gold... this is only the third example I have offered in 25 years. It is in excellent condition showing only very light wear. Sides of case show a few faint tiny dings. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 36mm long and 20mm wide. Refinished two-tone dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 21-jewel Elgin grade 559 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $750. SOLD
