Elgin “Model E-2 Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1927.
The “Model E-2” was in the first group of factory-cased men’s wristwatches that Elgin offered starting around 1927, priced at $45.00. This example is in crisp, excellent condition showing only a few tiny specks brassing in the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 35mm long and 27mm wide. Refinished luminous dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
