Elgin Model E-3 Engraved
Scarce Elgin “Model E-3 Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K green gold gold fill, circa 1928.
The "E-3" has a barrel-shaped cased with hidden lugs and fancy Art Deco geometric engravings on the bezel and case sides. It was priced at $52.50 in 1928. This example is in excellent condition with some small specks of brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide. Refinished dial is superb. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 15-jewel Elgin grade 428 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
