Elgin States 454
Very scarce Elgin “States 454” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold fill, circa 1930.
The “States 454” has enamel inlaid numerals on the bezel reflector underneath the crystal and stylized Art Deco geometric designs above and below the dial. It is quite scarce. It was priced at $45.00 in 1930. This example is in excellent condition with light brassing to the bezel corners. Caseback is excellent, with an engraving from 1930. Case measures 37mm long and 31mm wide. Original dial is very good. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 487 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
