Elgin Model 140 14K

Rare Elgin “Model 140” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in solid 14K white gold, circa 1928.

This case design was Elgin's first factory-cased solid gold men's wristwatch model, debuting around 1927. It is a rare watch and this is the first I have offered in several years. It was priced at $100.00 in 1928. It is in crisp, excellent condition showing only very slight wear. Caseback is superb and unengraved, with its original factory-applied brushed finish. The case measures 36mm long and 24mm wide. Factory-original new-old-stock dial is superb, has new luminous. Has new glass crystal. This watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 483 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $1,000. SOLD
