Elgin Cushion Engraved
Rare Elgin "Cushion Engraved" men's Art Nouveau design wristwatch in 14K green gold fill, circa 1928.
This jobber-cased large cushion model has a 3/0-size Elgin movement and spectacular and rare railroad-style enamel dial with blue numerals. This is the only railroad-style blue numeral enamel dial I have seen. It is excellent condition with no brassing. The engraved bezel designs are crisp. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. Case measures 37mm long and 31mm wide. Original blue numeral enamel dial is excellent, with some extremely faint hairlines. Beveled-edge glass crystal is superb. The watch is powered by a 15-jewel Elgin grade 464 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
