Rare Elgin “Wartime Model” men’s Streamline Moderne design wristwatch in 10K rose gold fill, circa 1944.

This uncatalogued model has yet to be identified from existing Elgin literature and documents, but is a properly marked, factory-cased model. Documentation of Elgin's non-military watch production during the war years is almost non-existant. I've have only seen a few of this rarely-found model.  This example is in excellent condition with no brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved. The case measures 33mm long and 26mm wide. Original rose-finish dial is superb, has rhodium-finished embossed and engine-turned numerals. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 555 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $200.
