Very rare Hamilton "Kirk" men's Retro Modern design presentation wristwatch in solid 14K yellow gold with factory diamond dial, circa 1952.

The "Kirk" has a round, heavy gold case with beveled lugs. In addition to the regular applied gold numeral dial most commonly seen, Hamilton offered four different diamond dials for the "Kirk" model, with this full 12-diamond dial version being the most expensive by far. It was priced at $360.00 in 1952, the equivalent of nearly $4,000.00 today. It is very rare, and this is only the second example I have ever seen. It is in excellent condition showing only light wear. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with a few dings. Case measures 38mm long and 31mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Older refinished dial is excellent, with 12 factory-applied diamonds. Dial has a few light marks and a few spots. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 747 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.

Price $900. SOLD
