Elgin Model E-3 Engraved
Elgin “Model E-3 Engraved” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 14K white gold gold fill, circa 1928.
The "E-3" has a barrel-shaped cased with hidden lugs and fancy Art Deco geometric engravings on the bezel and case sides. It was priced at $45.00 in 1928. This example is in crisp, near mint condition with no brassing. All of the original black enamel on the bezel is present. Caseback has one tiny ding, otherwise it is superb with most of its original factory-brushed finish. The case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide. Original factory new old stock dial is superb, has new luminous added to the numeral and hands. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 7-jewel Elgin grade 430 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
