Elgin “Uncatalogued 1400 Series” men’s Art Deco design wristwatch in 10K yellow gold fill, circa 1936.

This uncatalogued model has yet to be identified from existing Elgin literature and documents, but is a properly marked, factory-cased model. It is likely part of Elgin's "1400" series of men's watches produced in 1935 and 1936. It has a large stepped case with ornate engravings on the bezel. It is in excellent condition with a very small amount of brassing to the bezel corners and some brassing to the lugs. Caseback is excellent with an elaborate presentation engraving from 1936 and a few specks of wear in the corners. Case measures 40mm long and 29mm wide. Has new glass crystal. Original two-tone dial is superb. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Elgin grade 487 manual wind movement, just serviced and running strong.
